What's New ?

Marketing Your Site

Grins

 www.denisonia.com

Denison Iowa and the Denison Chamber of Commerce have a new look for their website. PPP Design created the look and function of the site and it is maintained internally. A new business directory database has been established making it easier for people to find information about Denison Business's. If your business is in Denison, check it out, you can even test the link to your website from the directory.
A Meeting Calendar lets you know when the next City Council, Zoning, or 2020 Plan meeting will be held, and the minutes of these meetings are posted online. Local and County events are posted on the website as well.

There isn't enough room in this newsletter to highlight all of the content on the site, so visit, and see for yourself.

What's New Two?

The Crawford County Event Calendar is available at the Crawford County Development Corporation website. The calendar may be viewed on their home page, on the Denison IA site and Denison Links. For more information or to submit an event go to "Contact" and click on "Event Submission" on the C.C.D.C. home page menu.

Ebay

Why would you want someone to go to Ebay® when we are marketing your site? Good question. Here's the answer, Ebay already has millions of visitors, they advertise regularly and you can sell your products on their website!

If you have a product that can be sold on Ebay you can advertise your website at the same time. When you list an item on Ebay you are encouraged to post a description of that item. The generous description field accepts Html which allows you to insert your website address.

Before posting an item for sale be sure to read Ebay's rules, some items have special requirements and you are not allowed to "sell away" from their website. In other words you can't make a private deal on items already listed for auction. However, if someone is interested in your item they may also be interested in the rest of your products.

You can establish a minimum bid so you aren't in danger of losing money due to a bid lower than your cost.

If you already have a picture of the item on your website you can use that pictures URL for posting a picture of the item on Ebay. Just send us an e-mail or call if you aren't sure of the pictures address.

Sign up with PayPal® if you are worried about payment, it's fast, inexpensive and stable.

Hidden Menu

This is a great tool! Hidden Menu allows you to hide a menu in the lower right corner of your monitor. It's not another task bar item, it literally hides off screen. When you need to access the menu you simply drop your cursor off the corner of your screen and the menu appears. You can link to any program on your computer and you can list the programs in categories.

It makes "calling " on those programs that are buried deep in the standard menu a snap. Programs like Notepad, the system Calculator etc.

You will need to link directly to the .exe file of each program but most of these are found in the corresponding file of your Program Files. If you need to find the Path of a specific program go to your standard menu - right click on an item and choose properties. The .exe path should be listed in the "Target" box.

Best of all, this program is freeware. The program Authors site is written in stilted English so be patient when reading more about the program. The program has been translated to several languages and the help files are clear.

Hidden Menu has been reviewed by several sources and received high ratings.

News in PHYSICS - New Element discovered

A major research institution recently announced the discovery
of the heaviest element yet known to science. This new element
tentatively has been named "Corporatium". Corporatium has 1
neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 111
assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by a force called
morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like
particles called peons. Since Corporatium has no electrons, it
is inert. However, it can be detected as it impedes every
reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of
Corporatium causes one reaction to take over 4 days to
complete when it would normally take less than a second.

Corporatium has a normal half-life of 3 years; it does not
decay but instead undergoes a reorganization, in which a
portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons and
assistant deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact,
Corporatium's mass will actually increase over time, since
each reorganization causes some morons to become neutrons
forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron-promotion leads
some scientists to speculate that Corporatium is formed
whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration.

This hypothetical quantity is referred to as "Critical
Morass."

You will know it when you see it...
