Your Website Can Save You Money
The current economic climate and shaky retail sales
environment doesn't put a smile on the face of many business
owners. When a business owner knows that his or her customers
may be cutting costs, watching their wallets or just being
cautious about how they spend their money it can cause a
little stress. There are a few tips below that may help you
use your website to weather the storm.
First, don't stop advertising. I have seen many startups and
even seasoned businesses pull in the reigns so tight that they
cut off advertising to save money during a down turn. Avoid
this knee jerk reaction and spend promotional dollars wisely.
Small or short newspaper and radio ads promoting your dot com
can be very effective, and can save hundreds or even thousands
on advertising.
Bumper stickers, window clings, and vinyl signs are effective
and affordable ways to advertise your website on your
automobile. Everywhere you go, whether you are parked or
driving, your car can advertise your website for you. Once a
visitor arrives at your site it is important that they receive
a message that is clear and easy to follow.
Statements or questions at the end of your email signature
that are linked to answers found on your website are very
effective ways of gaining qualified leads. People generally
won't click on the signature unless they want more info. A
realtor may use something like, "Find out more about listings
in your area", as an email signature tag line. If someone
clicks the link they probably want to see the listings.
Use your promotional dollars to guide people to your website
and let your website tell the bigger story behind your
business. You don't need a huge advertising budget to direct
people to your online presence; a little ingenuity can
accomplish the same thing. |
Droid
"These aren't the Droids you are looking
for." Is one phrase from the popular Star Wars saga that
Verizon, Google and Motorola would rather not hear this fall.
The new Droid Phone scheduled to make it's debut November 6,
2009 is a joint effort of the three companies.
While some are calling it the IPhone killer,
most are promoting the new phone as an alternative which
includes the Verizon network, Motorola hardware and Google
inside. The phones operating system is layered on the open
source Android system, hence the name Droid.
Verizon has a website with information
regarding the Droid phone and what it can do.
Visit here.
The open source Android backbone is one of
the more interesting highlights of the Droid. An open source
operating system allows for open development of applications
for the phone which could allow companies to create apps or
have apps created specifically for their business.
Smith Outreach Ministries of Kenya is a new
addition to the PPP Design portfolio. PPP Design donated the
time to develop this website and hopes that you will visit and
find out more about the work being done on behalf of the women
and children in a small village called Likii in Nanyuki town
of Kenya. The goal of the ministry is to provide water,
clothing, education, medical care, and spreading the word of
the Christian gospel to the community. An orphanage was
established in 1993 to provide a place for children who are
orphaned by HIV/AIDS and women who suffer from HIV/AIDS and
have children.
