  Can You Ignore Search Engines?

You can't ignore search engines, but your content should be developed with your visitors in mind, not search results.
A webmaster can spend hours even days trying to create content that will rank highly in the search engines. The webmaster can focus their content on the keywords they expect searchers to use when looking for their product or service. After all of this the search engines could still deem the content as low quality and drop the site in the search engine rankings.

How can you as a webmaster address this? Try ignoring the search engines! You heard me, try ignoring the search engines. When you write and or develop content for your website focus on what questions your visitors want answered. Create quality, authoritative, original content that is geared toward your visitors and what they want to know. Check for spelling, grammar and style errors. Double check your facts and site references if called for. Pay attention to detail so site content has real value to visitors.

I wouldn't suggest ignoring search engines entirely. After your content is created, review it to see if there are ways to enhance the content so it helps with searches based on your keywords. Does the title reflect the content? Is bold text and alt tags geared first toward the content and secondly for search engine optimization? Tweak and adjust your content to make sure it stays up to date and valuable. Simply put, website content should be created to provide answers to potential visitor questions then optimized for search engine results.		 Send an Email to Santa!
