Marketing Your Site

What's New ?

Website Translation

Regardless of how a person feels about the immigration issue, there are non-English speaking markets that we can reach with little additional expense.

The first and easiest step to reaching these markets is translating your website. Making your website more accessible to people speaking other languages may help your search rankings as well as open new markets.

If you would like to see what your site would look like after being translated to other languages try the link below.

AltaVista Babelfish Translation

Your site can be translated from English to twelve other languages. Text on graphics are not translated.

Scroll down on our home page and look for the AltaVista Babelfish Logo on the left margin, click on one of the flags and a new window will open with the site translated to the language you selected.

This feature can be added to your site in about 15 minutes, and your site can be translated instantly in to eight languages. These new markets are constantly expanding and may be a source for your expansion.

You can also use the AltaVista Babelfish Translation service to translate emails from non-English speaking clients.

Google Trends

Google has added another new service called Google Trends. According to the Google Trends website, "Google Trends is a Google Labs product, which means that it's still in an early stage of development."

"Google Trends analyzes a portion of Google web searches to compute how many searches have been done for the terms you enter relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time."

How does this impact you? The service could be used to refine searches based on popular search terms but more importantly it helps web masters define which search terms are used and how often. This means that when we set up a website, create keywords, descriptions and titles we will have access to better information as to which search terms may be more appropriate for your business website.

Why should you care? Because relevant keywords, titles, descriptions and page content mean better search engine placement. Better search engine placement translates into more visitors etc.

Although in it's infancy, Google Trends offers information that may help position your website so it is easier for potential customers to find you.

Take "website design" and "web site design" for example, both are used frequently, but which one is used most often? Click here to find out. Based on the graph "website design" is the clear winner, now we know which term to use to attract more visitors. This is a simplistic approach but a realistic one, knowing how people search can provide substantial advantages.

We would like to welcome Smitty Bee Honey to the PPP Design Family. Visit their new online store and see how sweet life can be.

The Denison Community Schools Alumni Association has added a website that is available through Monarch Country. If you are a DHS Alum you can find information about the association, upcoming reunions, registration forms and the upcoming Wall of Pride on the new site.

They're Back!
Annoying (but funny) Things to do to People

1. In the memo field of all your checks, write "for sensual massage."
2. Repeat the following conversation a dozen times: "Do you hear that?" "What?" "Never mind, it's gone now."
3. Ask people what gender they are.
4. Insist on keeping your car windshield wipers running in all weather conditions "to keep them tuned up."
5. Pull up to the toll booth and tell them it's free Chevrolet day.
6. Buy a large quantity of orange traffic cones and reroute entire streets.
7. Sit in your front yard pointing a hair dryer at passing cars to see if they slow down.
8. Find some guy and every time you encounter him, say, "Oops! Just a minute," go around behind him and adjust his tie
    under his collar.
9. Offer to hold someone's place in the grocery or bank line, then leave the line yourself after they're out of sight.
10. Bold every other letter in your emails.
