Marketing Your Site

What's New ?

E-Learning

E-Learning is a great way to market your website! Offer online tutorials, tips and classes on your web site and the results may surprise you. A quick example may demonstrate how powerful this approach can be.

A Home Improvement Store could offer online classes each month with lessons regarding "Do it yourself Home Improvements". A step by step tutorial on the latest Paint Crackling Techniques could be the first lesson. An advertisement for the E-Course could be posted by the cash register, on the front door of the store (entrance and exit), and included in other media advertisements.
"Free Monthly Do It Yourself E-Course on our web site."
Visit www.doityourself.com for details.
This Month: Paint Crackling Techniques!

Longer courses can be split in to two or three months but be sure to let your visitors know this is part one, two or three of a series.

This technique will definitely help establish you as an expert in your field and in addition it makes your store the "go to store" for any lesson you place on line.

. E-Courses can be done as simple html pages, e-books, PDF's or they can be complex, interactive pages with quizzes etc. Microsoft Word documents can be used to make creation and distribution of your lessons a breeze. Include an e-mail link so your new customers can e-mail you with questions regarding the course material.

This marketing method takes some time but it can generate huge rewards

The New Denison Links

You should have received an e-mail regarding the improvements to Denison Links. If you haven't had time to visit the site yet, give it a try.

Denison Links

Each site created by PPP Design will have a free banner ad displayed on Denison Links. The banner ads rotate randomly so each site ad should receive similar exposure. Every banner is linked to it's respective web site offering visitors a quick link to your site. We made Denison Links content family friendly to avoid any "site association" problems.

A marketing technique we have often discussed in this newsletter is reciprocal links (links to and from other quality sites). If you check for Denison Links on Google we currently place in 3 of the top 5 spots (Denison, TX has the top two). On Yahoo, we are ranked second and third in the search results. These rankings give us an opportunity to leverage Denison Links and hopefully boost traffic to all of our sites.

We started promoting Denison Links in print and other media as well as developing new content for the web site. New content additions are already in the works and should help in promoting Denison Links as a valuable area resource.

THINGS THAT MAKE YOU WONDER

1. I signed up for an exercise class and was told
to wear loose-fitting clothing. If I HAD any loose-fitting clothing, I wouldn't have signed up in the first place

2. When I was young we used to go "skinny dipping, "does that mean now I must go "chunky dunking."

3. The early bird still has to eat worms.

4. The worst thing about accidents in the kitchen is
eating them.

5. Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may
not be able to tell the difference.

6. Wouldn't it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply press 'Ctrl Alt Delete' and start all over?
7. Stress is when you wake up screaming and then you realize you haven't fallen asleep yet.

8. My wife says I never listen to her. At least I
think that's what she said.

9. Why is it that our children can't read a Bible
in school, but they can in prison?

10. If raising children was going to be easy, it
never would have started with something called labor!

11. Brain cells come and brain cells go, but fat
cells live forever.

12. Why do I have to swear on the Bible in court
when the Ten Commandments cannot be displayed in a federal building.

If you have ever copied a folder from a CD on to your computer you know what a pain it can be to change all of the file properties from read only to archive or blank. Not anymore! Attribute Changer 5 (freeware) from Romain's Software solves this problem.

Attribute Changer is a Windows shell extension, which means it adds additional functionality to the Windows GUI. In other words you can right click a file or folder and access the new function from your context menu.

Install Attribute Changer and right click on that folder you copied from a CD, choose "change attributes" from your context menu and change the attributes of all the files in a folder at once!

Visit the Attribute Changer web site for more information and your free download.
