Marketing Your Site

What's New ?

 How About That!

Over the five plus years or so that this newsletter has been in existence we have discussed several ways of bolstering your websites search engine position. We have discussed tried and true methods, reviewed the latest and greatest and yet in the end we always came back to the same thing.

I remember when it was all about Meta Tags. While still important, meta tags don't play nearly as big a role as they used to. Then there was link text, the text within each link could help you build your rankings. How about reciprocal links, trading links with other non-competing websites. More recently we saw non-reciprocal or one way links garner attention. All of these things are important when it comes to positioning your website but they are not the most important factor.

So what is it? What magical formula will vault you over your competition and create that ever elusive number one ranking? To be honest there is nothing magical about it. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Guru's are making big money by promoting the latest and greatest when it comes to positioning your website. But you don't have to be Einstein to figure it out or Houdini to pull it off

The one element of search engine optimization that has stayed the same year after year, month after month and search engine algorithm after search engine algorithm is quality relevant content. How about that! Quality Relevant Content is the long term answer to search engine rankings.

Quality Relevant Content makes other websites want to link to you, Quality Content uses your key search terms intuitively. And last but not least, Quality Relevant Content is what your visitors came to your site to see. How about that!
