Year End Review

The end of the year can be hectic but it often provides for brief periods of down time that allow for a year end review of your website. Take a moment if you can to objectively review your site and determine if changes are necessary.

First, take a look at the design and determine if it still fits your needs. Is it appealing and is it in keeping with your brand identity? Are all pictures on the sight current or do they reflect your business as it is today? Do any of the graphics look dated or out of place considering your current market?

Second, determine if the site is easy and intuitive to navigate? Can you move around the sight effortlessly? Do links and menu labels make sense? Are all areas of the site still necessary and do they reflect your current business and markets?

Third, is all content relevant? Does your text make sense and does it say what you want it to say? Is your content easy to follow and does it coincide with other corporate literature?

Finally, are there ways you can utilize your website to save you money or time? Would a contact management system, employee intranet or other business application help make you more efficient or profitable?

If after your review you need changes or updates made to your website, don't hesitate, make necessary changes as soon as possible so you and your customers can reap the benefits. A few minutes spent in review can mean the difference between your site being a business asset or an embarrassment.

Happy New Year!

Fun Things to Do On New Years Eve if You Are Not Going to a Party.

1. Play loud music and blink your lights every ten minutes so the neighbors think you are having a party and they were not invited.
2. Force yourself to stay awake until midnight then count each others age spots to see who wins.
3. Do Not answer the phone until 1:00pm New Years Day, then sound hung over and people will wonder what you were up to on New Years Eve.
4. Go to My Space or Face Book and laugh at your friends pictures from last years New Years Eve Parties.
5. Call other parties asking if Bob is there, during the fifth call say, "Hello, this is Bob, do you have any messages for me?"
6. Corner the aspirin market in your community and become a millionaire on New Years Day!!!!
7. Call all of the local bars and ask if they are open past midnight due to the holiday!
8. In winter climates, pour water on the steps of the neighbor with the biggest party and wait for the fun to begin!
9. Make random calls, ask if you have reached the depression hotline, when told no, ask if they will talk to you anyway!
10. Place diapers on all neighborhood pets to celebrate Baby New Year! You may want to skip the neighbors Rotwieller!
