Determine whom you want your marketing efforts to reach and
develop advertising and promotions to reach your target
market. Is your Market made up of Families, Small Business,
Large Corporations, Hobbyist, Sportsman or a combination of
several groups?
Outline a Marketing Budget: Determine
what amount to spend on advertising and promotions; this
keeps you on track and within your budget. Many corporations
believe that spending 20 - 25% of adjusted gross income on
marketing and promotions not only maintains but also allows
for growth!
Develop your Brand: Plan
for promotions that build good will and recognition for your
brand. Advertising only products may be a short-term
solution, but most businesses want to be around for the long
run.
Plan to Provide Service: Developing
a Marketing Plan without being able to provide service to
new and existing customers can be a disaster. If you expect
your marketing efforts to produce new sales, be certain to
have staff and processes in place to serve the customers
providing the growth.

Google and Yahoo are both becoming more
mobile. They are providing many of their services to
Mobile Phone and Device users that connect to the
internet.
Both companies are offering mobile phone
optimized search functions. SMS is being offered by both
companies as well (Short Message Service). Google SMS .enables you to send queries as text messages over your mobile phone or device and easily get precise answers to your questions. No links. No web pages. Just text. Yahoo!
is offering games, Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Mail and blogging
services. Google is offering a mobile version
of GMail, as well as Google Local. Both
companies provide maps and directions in a mobile format.
Which means men will never have to ask for directions (Well
Maybe). As online content providers
battle for position in the market place consumers should
benefit. Although these services are offered free by both
Google and Yahoo, your service provider may still charge a fee
