Killer Advertising!

Have you ever heard the phrase "Killer Ads" or "Magic Sales Copy"? How about any other phrase meant to convince you that there are secret marketing techniques and word combinations that are magically successful?

People that use these types of phrases in an effort to get you to advertise with them typically have only one thing in mind and that is to kill your advertising budget.

There are legitimate marketing techniques and strategies that have proven to be successful; however there is no magic wand that assures success.

Honest, direct assessment of what your product or service can do for your clients is the best method to employ. Save your creativity for the methods used to deliver your marketing message.

Stay consistent! Advertisements, promotions, brochures, signage, business cards, flyers and other media should all deliver the same basic message and maintain your brand identity.

Deliver what is promised! Great marketing, the best promotions and the slickest ad campaigns don't mean a thing if you don't deliver what you promise.

Finally, service is the key to longevity. Analyze any successful business and you will undoubtedly find that service is the key. Delivering value at a fair price and following up with quality service is the best way to build a business reputation.

LAN Drives

LAN Drive sound like some kind of new SUV but it's not. LAN stands for Local Area Network and the Drive represents an external hard drive used to add additional storage.

External storage drives are not new but the LAN Drive concept is. These drives connect to or through your internet or network router to provide additional hard drive storage space. We aren't networked in our office (for several reasons) but we always wanted to be able to access at least one common hard drive so we could share files quickly and easily.

We purchased an external drive offering USB and Fire Wire connectivity with the understanding that we could both access the drive using either USB or FireWire connections. The drive worked fine but we couldn't connect to it at the same time.

We contacted our friends at BT Computer to see if they new of a work around. After several solutions were discussed Bob & Tim suggested we try a new external drive, and you guessed it, it was the LAN Drive. We had a few initial connection problems due to our configurations but Tim came to the rescue and helped us connect to the new drive. ( It was really a simple process made more difficult by our set up). We have used the drive for about a month now and are thrilled with the ability to access the drive simultaneously and back-up our systems automatically to an external hard drive.

The LAN Drive offers a secure reliable way to share an external drive through your router, whether you are networked or not.
